ACCESSIBILITY
A website more people can use.
Football Studies wants its information and services to be accessible to disabled people and to visitors using different devices, browsers and assistive technologies.
OUR AIM
Clear, robust and understandable
We are designing this site with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the working target. That includes attention to colour contrast, keyboard use, meaningful headings, link purpose, readable text, responsive layouts and alternatives for non-text content.
Perceivable
Information should not depend on colour alone, and important images need appropriate alternatives.
Operable
Core content and navigation should work without requiring precise pointer control.
Understandable
Language, headings and interactions should be clear and consistent.
Robust
Pages should use structured content that works across modern browsers and assistive technology.
CURRENT REVIEW POSITION
Testing before public launch
This is a newly built website and remains behind a Coming Soon screen while final checks are completed. Internal accessibility checks have been carried out, but an independent audit and a full real-screen-reader review have not yet been completed. We therefore do not claim full conformance.
- Core keyboard and focus-order checks have been completed on desktop and at a 390-pixel mobile viewport, covering the skip link, navigation menus and submenus, Escape behaviour, calls to action, footer links and cookie controls.
- A fixed cookie notice initially obscured some focused links. Additional spacing was applied and repeat keyboard testing passed on both desktop and mobile.
- Internal structural checks covered headings, alternative text, controls, colour contrast and responsive reflow at 320- and 390-pixel widths.
- Linked external forms remain the responsibility of their providers, but we will consider reported barriers and offer a reasonable alternative where possible.
